Eye-opening Pop-up in Paris
Showcasing Sustainable Style at Fashion Hong Kong Pop-Up
Last spring, SOULMATTE embarked on an exciting journey to Paris, the city of lights and fashion, to participate in a unique pop-up store experience. As a Hong Kong-based brand dedicated to crafting stylish and sustainable plant-based handbags, we were thrilled to be invited by Fashion Hong Kong to showcase our collection alongside other talented local designers.
From March 18th-25th, the vibrant 9 Rue du Marché Saint-Honoré in the 1st arrondissement transformed into a hub of Hong Kong creativity. The pop-up in Paris, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels, aimed to promote cultural exchange and introduce Hong Kong's burgeoning fashion scene to a global audience. The event coincided with Paris Fashion Week, attracting industry insiders, media, and fashion enthusiasts from around the world.
Plant-based Handbags Make a Parisian Splash
The theme of sustainability resonated throughout the pop-up, with several brands, including SOULMATTE, championing eco-conscious design. We were delighted by the strong interest in our cactus leather handbags, especially the Mini Zen and Large Lotus paired with our plant-based scarves—a real crowd-pleaser. Visitors appreciated the combination of style, functionality, and ethical production that defines SOULMATTE.
The pop-up provided a valuable platform to connect with a new audience, share our story, and demonstrate that sustainable fashion can be both chic and compassionate. Being part of this select group of Hong Kong designers was an honor, and we were inspired by the creativity and passion on display.
